°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøElementary third and fourth graders, under the guidance of fourth grade teacher and instructional specialist, Christine Pitrelli, have started a Pay It Forward Club as a way to carry out the principles of The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøPromise and give back to our school community as difference makers.
“Helping students in our building learn about the different principles of The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøPromise helps promote a positive climate,” °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøElementary School Principal, Dr. Mary-Ellen Kakalos said. “We also have had student announcers relate the principles to their own lives and then share these examples over the morning announcements.”
The students have even begun to relate The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøPromise to SEL’s motto, “°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøSpirit, Learners for Life. Together we belong. We’re °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍøEL strong!”
