Accompsett Middle School sixth grader teacher, Cynthia Moschera, has secured an environmental grant for her students! Moschera has been selected as a recipient of the Grow with Us Grant from New York Agriculture in the Classroom.
As a result, AMS has been awarded a Spider Farmer SF600 Growshelf. The indoor plant stand provides a clean and safe growing environment.
Per the website, Moschera’s application communicated her school’s need, interest, and commitment to providing healthy food and food system education to your students. The applicant pool for this program was deep and competitive; less than one-third of the submitted proposals were funded.
