Students throughout the SCSD have been learning about the importance of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Students at Dogwood Elementary created murals and wrote dreams for themselves. Some of those dreams were to, “Make new friends”, “Be kind to everyone” and “Make my community beautiful.”
Accompsett Middle School students read about the life of Dr. King and his impact on the Civil Rights movement. Third graders at St. °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Elememtary read the book, “Martin’s Big Words” and discussed how Dr. King made a difference in our country.
The students then discussed how THEY can make a difference in the world.
